Laparoscopic pyloromyotomy can be performed safely by senior pediatric surgery trainees without supervision at high volume centers

Retrospective study of 180 laparoscopic pyloromyotomies demonstrates that senior pediatric surgery trainees at high-volume centers can safely perform unsupervised procedures with outcomes comparable to experienced surgeons. No significant differences were found in operative time, complications, or hospital stay between groups.
