Preliminary Use of Indocyanine Green Fluorescence Angiography and Value in Predicting the Vascular Supply of Tissues Needed to Perform Cloacal, Anorectal Malformation, and Hirschsprung Reconstructions

Intraoperative ICG fluorescence angiography proved superior to visual assessment in evaluating tissue perfusion during complex pediatric reconstructions, altering surgical plans in 31% of cases. The technology successfully identified inadequate perfusion that could have led to complications in cloacal, ARM, and Hirschsprung repairs.
