Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Risk Stratification in Newborns with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)

Researchers developed and validated a risk stratification model to predict ECMO use in newborns with CDH using CDH Study Group registry data from 2007-2016. The tool enables centers to compare ECMO utilization and outcomes by identifying high-risk patients early in the postnatal period, addressing a gap in existing CDH mortality calculators.
