Fertility and Sexual Function in Women Following Pediatric Ileal Pouch-Anal Anastomosis

This observational study examines long-term fertility and sexual function outcomes in women who underwent ileal pouch-anal anastomosis during childhood for severe colitis or polyposis. Among women attempting pregnancy, 73% conceived and 88% delivered successfully, with only 5% reporting severely restricted sexual function.
