Complications Following Nephron-Sparing Surgery for Wilms Tumor

This retrospective study compared complications in 55 pediatric patients undergoing nephron-sparing surgery (NSS) versus 54 undergoing radical nephrectomy for Wilms tumor. NSS patients had higher rates of urine leak, blood loss, and positive margins, but complications were manageable, supporting NSS as a safe approach for bilateral disease.
