Congenital intrathoracic stomach can be safely managed laparoscopically

This retrospective series of 11 pediatric patients demonstrates that congenital intrathoracic stomach—where most of the stomach herniates into the chest—can be safely corrected using laparoscopic hiatus repair and fundoplication. All patients achieved full enteral feeding with only one recurrence, supporting minimally invasive surgery as the standard approach for this rare condition.
