Surgical Management of Esophageal Achalasia in Pediatrics: A Systematic Review

Systematic review of 742 pediatric achalasia cases comparing three surgical approaches: Heller myotomy (78% success), esophageal dilatation (45% success), and POEM (99% success). POEM showed highest efficacy but required more training and had higher complication rates, while dilatation had highest re-intervention rates at 62%.
