Injectable bulking treatment of persistent fecal incontinence in adult patients after anorectal malformations

This prospective study of seven adults with anorectal malformations demonstrates that NASHA/Dx injectable bulking therapy significantly reduced fecal incontinence episodes from a mean of 20.7 to 4.3 over two weeks at 18-month follow-up, with improved physical quality of life and no serious adverse events.
