Risk factors and associated outcomes of early acute kidney injury in pediatric liver transplant recipients: a retrospective study

This retrospective study of 80 pediatric liver transplant recipients identifies biliary atresia, prolonged anhepatic phase, and delayed jaundice clearance as independent risk factors for acute kidney injury. Patients developing AKI showed lower 3-year survival rates compared to those without kidney injury.
