Primary Laparoscopic Endorectal Pull-Through Procedure With or Without a Postoperative Rectal Tube for Hirschsprung Disease: A Multicenter Perspective Study

Multicenter randomized study of 383 patients comparing laparoscopic endorectal pull-through with versus without postoperative rectal tube placement for Hirschsprung disease. Results showed rectal tube use reduced early abdominal distention (4% vs 15.5%) and may decrease postoperative enterocolitis risk during the critical first month after surgery.
