Caval replacement strategy in pediatric retroperitoneal tumors encasing the vena cava: a single-center experience and review of literature

Single-center case series of 4 pediatric patients undergoing elective en-bloc resection of retroperitoneal tumors with IVC replacement. Despite prosthetic thrombosis in 3 cases, all patients tolerated the procedure well with no related symptoms, and 3 remain disease-free at long-term follow-up (43-108 months).
