International multicenter experience with peroral endoscopic myotomy for the treatment of spastic esophageal disorders refractory to medical therapy (with video)

This international multicenter study evaluates peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) as a treatment for spastic esophageal disorders that don't respond to medication. The findings demonstrate POEM is both effective and safe for managing these challenging motility disorders, offering a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgical approaches.
