This study demonstrates that primary anastomosis is a safe first-line surgical option for complicated necrotizing enterocolitis, showing favorable outcomes regardless of patient age, weight, contamination level, or disease extent. The findings challenge traditional staged approaches and support immediate bowel reconstruction.
