Development of venous thrombi in a pediatric population of intestinal failure

This study examined risk factors for venous thrombosis in pediatric intestinal failure patients on long-term parenteral nutrition. Children with NEC or gastroschisis who required multiple central line placements in early life had significantly higher thrombosis rates, identifying targets for preventive interventions.
