Abstract

We read with great interest the article by Huijgen et al., entitled "Long-term follow-up in patients with anorectal malformation: MRI findings in relation to bowel function" [1]. The authors should be congratulated on their comprehensive assessment of post-reconstruction pelvic anatomy and on highlighting the increasing role of MRI in the follow-up of adolescent ARM patients. Their study provides anatomical correlates as well as valuable insights for transitional care.
