Diagnostic ultrasound-guided cutting needle biopsies in neuroblastoma: A safe and efficient procedure

Retrospective study of 29 neuroblastoma patients demonstrating that ultrasound-guided cutting needle biopsy achieved 90% diagnostic success with complete molecular profiling capability post-2008. The procedure showed acceptable safety with 7% bleeding rate and no infections, supporting its use as a minimally invasive alternative to open surgical biopsy for pretreatment diagnosis and tumor characterization.
