Urinary tract anomalies and urinary tract dysfunction in children with Hirschsprung disease—Is follow-up indicated?

This case-control study of 72 children with Hirschsprung disease post-TERPT reveals significantly higher rates of urinary tract anomalies (10%) and dysfunction, particularly enuresis (65% in boys vs 9% in controls) and UTIs. Findings support routine urinary tract screening and symptom assessment in HD follow-up protocols.
