This review highlights a crucial area of research by analyzing the influence of social determinants of health (SDOH) on pediatric surgical outcomes [1]. The findings, particularly those related to the Area Deprivation Index (ADI) and Child Opportunity Index (COI), underscore the significant role that socio-economic and environmental factors play in shaping health outcomes for pediatric surgical patients.
