Abstract

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programming has been a pillar of many academic institutions, aiming to increase diversity in medicine, ensure equitable care, and foster an inclusive environment. However, one of President Donald Trump's first executive orders sought to eliminate DEI initiatives within the federal government, with broader implications for the private and public sectors. Many academic medical centers, reliant on federal funding, quickly mobilized to comply with potential legal ramifications.
