Abstract
2024 was the hottest year on record and the last decade was the warmest in recorded history. Thus far, 2025 is just as concerning. In early January, wildfires raged through the Los Angeles area, killing people, destroying homes, and upending lives. Climate change is no longer a hypothetical future event; it is happening now.
