Hey all you pediatric surgeons out there, here's your daily update on what's new and important in pediatric surgery. Finally, somebody did a large multi-center study looking at silo versus immediate closure and gastroschisis. Hawkins et al. in the August issue of GPS showed no difference. Silo or immediate closure. They looked at mortality, sepsis, readmission rate, and time to full feeds, no difference. So there you have it, dealer's choice.
