In brief
This review examines how robotic-assisted surgical systems are advancing minimally invasive approaches in pediatric urology by overcoming traditional laparoscopic limitations. It surveys current applications and discusses emerging directions for robotic technology in treating urological conditions in children.
- Robotic surgery mitigates key drawbacks of traditional laparoscopy in pediatric urology procedures.
- Recent technological advances enable broader application of minimally invasive techniques in children.
- Current evidence supports expanding robotic approaches beyond conventional laparoscopic indications.
- Future directions focus on refining robotic platforms specifically for pediatric anatomical constraints.
