Neural monitoring during H-type tracheoesophageal fistula division: A way to decrease recurrent laryngeal nerve injury?

This article describes an intraoperative neuromonitoring technique for recurrent laryngeal nerve protection during isolated H-type tracheoesophageal fistula repair. The approach aims to reduce the historically high incidence of vocal cord paresis in this rare congenital anomaly.
