Qualities and Characteristics of Applicants Associated with Successful Matriculation to Pediatric Surgery Fellowship Training

This study analyzes Electronic Residency Application System data from 444 pediatric surgery fellowship applicants (2012-2017) to identify factors associated with successful matriculation. Attendance at a US allopathic medical school was the strongest predictor of acceptance, with the applicant pool showing increasing female representation over the study period.
