The outcome of real-time evaluation of biliary flow using near-infrared fluorescence cholangiography with Indocyanine green in biliary atresia surgery

Study of 10 biliary atresia patients demonstrates that near-infrared fluorescence cholangiography with indocyanine green successfully visualizes hilar micro-bile ducts during surgery, achieving 80% positive fluorescence detection. Patients receiving NIR-FCG guidance showed significantly improved postoperative jaundice clearance compared to historical controls without fluorescence imaging.
