In brief
In brief
Case report describing successful treatment of pediatric fat embolism syndrome with neurological involvement using combined high-dose atorvastatin and nitric oxide therapy. The patient achieved full recovery in a shortened timeframe, suggesting this novel combination may warrant further investigation in pediatric FES management.
Written by the GCMD Library team from the article.
We postulate that the combined therapy of high-dose atorvastatin with Nitric Oxide may have played a role in our patients' full recovery in a shortened timeframe. Ideally, further prospective research is needed to determine a universally accepted treatment regimen for pediatric patients with FES.
