Respiratory Disorders in Patients with Omphalocele

This review examines respiratory complications in infants with omphalocele, ranging from transient closure-related issues to severe pulmonary hypoplasia and hypertension. Giant omphalocele cases face particularly high respiratory morbidity extending into childhood, with birth respiratory insufficiency serving as an independent mortality predictor.
