Fourth branchial anomalies: Predictive factors of therapeutic success

Multicenter study of 52 children with fourth branchial pouch anomalies shows endoscopic treatment achieves 84% success with minimal complications versus 86% for open cervicotomy with higher morbidity. Age 3-5 years and prior cervical abscess predict recurrence risk.
