Posterior retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy for pediatric adrenal tumors

Study demonstrates that posterior retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy using a modified prone jackknife position is safe and effective for pediatric adrenal tumors. Analysis of 20 patients showed children's smaller lumbar lordosis angles allow adequate retroperitoneal access without extreme positioning, with 5 successful cases showing minimal complications and short hospital stays.
